Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets to give an impetus to their campaign at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday. The Royals have now won two consecutive games which have taken them to the sixth spot in the points table and thereby, helped in keeping their playoff hopes alive. There were many moments in the game which included Sanju Samson's brilliance behind the stumps, Jaydev Unadkat's perfectly jumped one-handed catch along with his impressive bowling performance and Steve Smith taking an absolute blinder to dismiss his Australian teammate, David Warner. However, there was another moment which was also a standout moment, but the only difference was that the moment happened after the game.
After the Royals had registered their second straight win, two of the star performers and pioneers of the win, skipper Steven Smith and Jaydev Unadkat were seen having a discussion with each other.
The Rajasthan skipper, who had taken a spectacular catch to dismiss his countryman David Warner, lost out to Jaydev Unadkat in getting the perfect Catch of the Match award. In this criterion, the player who takes a good catch is awarded a smartphone. Smith brought this point forward during his discussion with Unadkat. The former Australian skipper asked the left-arm medium pacer whether he had cost him the phone. After hearing this, Unadkat first laughed and then went on to reply that Smith's catch was better but since the pacer had taken three catches, he must have won the award on the basis of the count. Unadkat had taken the catches of Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar and Bhuvneshvar Kumar. He was also adjudged 'Man of the Match' for his impressive bowling figures of 2/26 in his four overs at an economy of 6.50.
