The Chennai Super Kings players seem to never get tired of taking their experiments to the next level and come up with new innovations when they are not on the field. They are leaving no stone unturned in entertaining their viewers on social media.
This time, the players of the 'Yellow Army' once again came forward to their hand in a unique art which is a part of Tamil culture. After the CSK players had tested their cooking skills (making dosas), they tried to master 'Silambam' which is a Tamil martial art. The team decided to take up the 'Super Silambu Challenge' cum the 'Local Ninja Challenge'. Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Billings, Deepak Chahar, Mitchell Santner, Mohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Shardul Thakur, etc. participated in this challenge.
In the beginning, each player had only one stick in hand and they gave their best shot at it. However, their efforts did not pay off as they were unable to execute it properly which had its fair share of funny moments. In the next round, the players wore a 'Lungi' and then showcased their 'Silambam' skills and this time they were able to execute it properly. The best thing about this challenge was that Harbhajan Singh used two sticks to carry out this art and he was the only one who got his Ninja techniques right.
Chennai Super Kings shared this video on Twitter. Here's the video.
CSK also shared the video of Harbhajan Singh doing 'Silambam' like a pro. Take a look.
The defending champions CSK lost their previous encounter by six wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. They will now be in action against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.
