Virat Kohli who is currently leading India in the ongoing bilateral series against West Indies found some time to pose for a picture with a great personality from the world of Cricket. Any guesses about who the personality is? He is none other than the great Sir Vivian Richards.
You have heard it right. The modern great and the yesteryear great were all smiles while posing for a picture after the 2nd T20I between India and West Indies. The Indian skipper took to Instagram and wrote ' With the biggest BOSS!'.
The fans could not have asked for anything better as they got to see two of the finest cricketers in a single frame. They were full of praises for both the players who have been a part of their team's respective World Cup triumphs.
Both Kohli and Richards are regarded as the best batsman of their respective eras. They are regarded as the aggressive batsmen who are a threat for any bowler and opposition, and if there were to be a list of world-class batsmen then these two will certainly feature among the likes of Donald Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, and Brian Lara.
Coming back to their mutual admiration for each other, Kohli had referred Viv as the 'Biggest Boss' but the two-time World Cup-winning Caribbean player had once said that Kohli was aggressive and that he is a big fan of him as he likes good batsmen and good aggression. The legendary batsman then added that even he had also played the same game and asked whether one could imagine both of them playing in the same team?
Vivian Richards has amassed 8540 runs in 121 Test matches. Whereas, in 187 One-Day Internationals, the Antiguan cricketer has scored 6721 runs.
Among the fans, there was one more person who was very pleased after seeing Virat and Viv together. He was none other than Bollywood sensation Ranveer Singh. The 'Bajirao Mastani' actor took to social media and wrote ' Met some of the Windies legends. They speak so highly of you. Ranveer then said that he was proud of Kohli.
Team India beat West Indies by 22 runs (DLS method) in the 2nd T20I at Lauderhill, Florida to clinch the three-match T20I series 2-0. The Men In Blue had already drawn the first blood in a hard-fought four-wicket win on Saturday at the same venue. The series win will also act a morale-booster for Kohli & Co. as they prepare to put up a good performance at next year's ICC World T20 in Australia. Meanwhile, this was also their first bilateral T20I series win of this year. India had lost their last two bilateral series against New Zealand and Australia respectively. Both were home and away losses.
The two teams will now be locking horns in the 3rd T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday. With the series already in the bag, Virat Kohli had hinted that he might be looking to experiment with team changes which means that the bench strength will be tested.
