Women cricketers team led by Mithali Raj dine at Yusuf Pathan's house!

Indian cricketers Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswamy and Punam Raut were invited for dinner at Yusuf Pathan's house and they posted about it on Twitter.

The Indian women's cricket team trio of ODI captain Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami and Punam Raut were invited for a dinner on Monday at cricketer Yusuf Pathan's house. The women's team had defeated South Africa to clinch a 3-0 ODI series whitewash the very same day in Baroda. Raut and Raj were quick to share the image of their meeting with Pathan on Twitter. They appreciated Yusuf's gesture and thanked him for dinner.

Indian women's team

The Indian team, under the leadership of Mithali Raj, played three one-day international matches against South Africa. The hosts defeated the visitors in all the three matches. In the first match, India defeated South Africa by eight wickets, followed by a five-wicket victory in the second fixture. The team won the series with a 100% win rate by defeating the South Africans by six runs in the third and final match of the series. Ekta Bisht was adjudged as Player of the Match for the final fixture. The Indian women's team will depart for the Caribbean Islands to face West Indies in a three-match series, which will begin from 1 November 2019.

Yusuf Pathan

Following his impressive performances in the 2007 Deodhar Trophy and the domestic championship held in April 2007, Pathan was made a part of the Indian squad for the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup, held in South Africa in September 2007. He made his Twenty20 international debut in the final against Pakistan. Yusuf had made his One Day International debut for India against Pakistan in Dhaka on 10 June 2008. He became a regular feature of the national One Day International team.

IPL Stint

After a good domestic season in 2007/08, he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. In the 2008 IPL season, he scored 435 runs and took 8 wickets. He recorded the season's fastest half-century (from 21 balls) against the Deccan Chargers, and was also the Man of the Match in the final against the Chennai Super Kings. For his performances in 2008, he was named in the Cricinfo IPL XI. In January 2018, he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL auction. He played few good knocks that season including a vital 45 vs Chennai Super Kings in the final, albeit in a losing cause.
