July 14, 2018 was just another day for a normal individual. But for a sports fan, the day provided unreal excitement, with three of the biggest matches going on, at the very same time.

On Saturday, in the evening, Indian sports fan had to deal with a 'sweet dilemma'. It was a problem, but one which would bring a smile onto their face.

There were three major sporting events going simultaneously. In the biggest sporting event of the calendar, ie World Cup 2018, Belgium and England were playing each other to determine who finishes the tournament as the third rank team.

Then there was the rescheduled semi-final of Wimbledon 2018, in which two of the world's best, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, were engrossed in a thrilling encounter to determine who reaches the final.

And of course, you had the second ODI between England and India at Lord's. It was a much anticipated match for three reasons - 1. The venue was Lord's, the 'Home of Cricket', 2. India had to chance to take a 2-0 lead in the series, and 3. MS Dhoni had the chance to reach 10,000 runs in ODIs.

At that very moment, many of the sports fans would have asked god, "Why don't we have six eyes?"

It became increasingly tough to keep track of all the three events at the same time. If we moved our eyes towards Eden Hazard tormenting the English defense, then a brilliant forehand of Nadal and cover drive of Shikhar Dhawan would get missed.

All the three matches had thrill and action, that cannot be compared with one another. Belgium and England were looking to end their campaign on a high. Then you had Nadal and Djokovic aiming to assert their dominance. And not to forget, England trying to level the series, at their home.

The end of all the three events brought mixed emotions amongst the fans. Nadal lost, and pretty sure many were sad. After that, England lost and Belgium won, a result which would have drawn mixed reactions. But the final result, England defeating India, would surely have saddened the mood in what was otherwise a happy day.

Now, at the time of writing and reliving the moments, it was indeed an experience. The thrill and adrenaline rush going within while following all the three events at the same time was different level.

There aren't much days and occasions that you get the chance to witness Hazard and Kane taking on each other at the very same time when Nadal and Djokovic are exchanging strong forehands and Virat Kohli is trying to chase down a target in excess of 300.

It is safe to say, it was a dilemma, a huge one. But definitely, one that can savored.
