Sarfaraz Ahmed has had a tough time in the last week ever since Pakistan's 89-run (DLS method) defeat against India. Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar termed his captaincy as 'brainless'. Ahmed was also trolled for yawning during the end of the first innings. However, things got more complicated when the Champions Trophy-winning skipper was fat-shamed by a fan. The captain was seen carrying his child in a mall when this harasser started recording the video and body-shamed him. Sarfaraz did not react and chose to walk away while the fan was busy taking the video.

Things did not end there for the Pakistan skipper. When he returned back to the hotel, he saw that his wife was crying after having watched the video. The Champions Trophy-winning captain then had to explain his better half that all this is a part of life and if they do not perform well, then they will have to go through all these things. He then urged her to be strong.
The interview of Sarfaraz Ahmed opening up about that incident was posted by ICC on their official Twitter handle. Watch the video here.
Nonetheless, Sarfaraz became a fan favourite after Pakistan registered a 49-run win over South Africa at Lord's on Sunday to keep their World Cup hopes alive. Ahmed was seen signing autographs for the fans. This video was posted by Cricket World Cup on their official Twitter handle. Watch the video here.
The 2006 U-19 World Cup-winning captain once again gave his fans another reason to rejoice after he led his team to a six-wicket win against undefeated New Zealand on Wednesday.
