A mighty Team India will be up against Afghanistan in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at Southampton on Saturday. India along with New Zealand are the undefeated sides in the ongoing showpiece event. The Men In Blue have registered convincing wins against South Africa, defending World Champions Australia and arch-rivals Pakistan respectively. However, one of their games against New Zealand was washed away due to rain and both teams had to share a point each. Meanwhile, Afghanistan have lost all their five matches and currently languish at the bottom of the points table.

Heading into this contest, India's explosive opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the competition due to a fractured thumb. Dhawan had sustained this injury during his match-winning knock against Australia. Rishabh Pant has been roped into the side as a replacement. Pant was spotted having fun with MS Dhoni's little munchkin Ziva where the duo yelled on top of their voice. The wicket-keeper batsman then got the privilege of interacting with Yuzvendra Chahal on his special segment Chahal TV.

Speaking to Chahal, the 21-year-old said that he had worked even harder when he did not get selected for the World Cup.and he kept on practicing. Pant added that when he was called to the national team as a backup for Shikhar Dhawan, he passed this news to his mother who went straight to the temple as she could not control her happiness. The youngster also added that he had dreamt of playing a World Cup for India and perform well for the nation and that he was very happy after getting a call-up.
