Hosts England completely outplayed Afghanistan in all three departments of the game during their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday. By the virtue of their mammoth 150-run victory, the Eoin Morgan-led side have topped the points table with four wins and a loss in their five games while the Afghans continue to languish at the bottom of the table as they have lost all the five matches that they have played.
England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first. While the hosts completely dominated with the bat, Afghanistan had a torrid time on the field and to make matters worse, one of their star players Rashid Khan bowled his career's most expensive spell as he conceded 109 runs in ten overs with an economy rate of 12.22 and became the first spinner in ODI game to concede 100 plus runs.
Rashid was brutally trolled on social media after having an off day with the ball. Iceland Cricket who had recently trolled UK and ICC for the games being washed out in the ongoing World Cup did not hesitate in coming forward and taking a dig at the Afghan leg-spinner.
Iceland Cricket took to their official Twitter handle and wrote 'We’ve just heard that Rashid Khan has scored Afghanistan’s first century of the #CWC19! Wow! 110 from 56 balls. The most runs ever scored by a bowler in the World Cup or something. Well batted young man. #ENGvAFG #AFGvENG'
However, their tweet did not go down well as the players and the fans hit back at them.
Luke Wright, who was one of the key players of England's ICC World T20 triumph in 2010 came forward and expressed his anger at Iceland Cricket. He wrote 'Rubbish tweet. Rather than trying to be funny why not be respectful to someone that has done so much for cricket and especially associate members'

One of England's successful pacers Stuart Broad also agreed with his English team-mate and backed Rashid Khan.
Here's what the fans had to say to Iceland Cricket.
