The Men In Blue thus became the second team after reigning five-time World Champions Australia to book their place in the last four. Meanwhile, this loss has also ended Bangladesh's hopes of qualifying for the semis and they will now be playing for pride in their next match against Pakistan.

The fans were very happy and thrilled with India's impressive win as they took to social media to shower praises on the Virat Kohli-led side after they booked their place in the final four. Apart from the fans, even the cricketing fraternity came forward to congratulate the two-time winners.

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman came forward to congratulate the Indian team. At the same time, he also hailed the spirits of the Bangladesh side.
