It seems like the English players are giving a tough competition to each other in the field by taking some incredible catches. After Ben Stokes had taken a Jonty Rhodes level catch in the curtain-raiser against South Africa, he has now got some competition from his team-mate Chris Woakes.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. They got off to a good start as openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq provided a solid platform. The two played some good strokes and dominated in the Powerplay overs as Pakistan registered their first 50 in the eighth over. Moeen Ali was introduced into the attack and he lived up to the expectations by getting rid of Zaman who had added an 81-run opening stand. Imam then tried to accelerate the innings with Babar Azam and he was looking well set for a big knock. But then came a twist in the tale.

In the 21st over which was bowled by Moeen Ali, he tossed one on the off side and Imam charged down the wicket for a big shot. It was timed well but it did not get the result that it deserved as Chris Woakes took a stunning catch by running to his right and pulling off a full stretched dive to take an awesome catch as Imam walked back to the pavilion after falling short of a deserving fifty.
