World Cup 2019 | Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur makes a big admission after his team's defeat against arch-rivals India. Here's what he said

Pakistan defeated South Africa by 49 runs in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at Lord's on Sunday to keep their hopes alive in the ongoing quadrennial event. As a result of this loss, the Proteas are now knocked out of the tournament with just a solitary win in their seven matches while Pakistan are at the seventh position with two wins, three losses and five points. Their match against Sri Lanka was washed away due to rain.

Despite defeating South Africa to keep their semifinal hopes alive, the head coach of Pakistan team, Mickey Arthur admitted that his team's loss against arch-rivals India last weekend had shattered him and that he wanted to commit suicide. Arthur, who had coached Pakistan to their maiden ICC Champions Trophy triumph in 2017 said that since it is a World Cup, there will be a lot of public expectations and media scrutiny due to they which almost go into sort of survival mode.

The Men In Green's 89-run (DLS) method loss against India created a lot of restlessness as the players were criticized by the fans, media and former cricketing greats.

However, everything was forgiven after the Men In Green's clinical performance against South Africa as fans were seen taking pictures with the Pakistani players and there was one fan who came up with a placard stating that he has recovered from his team's debacle against the Men In Blue at Old Trafford. One even held the 'We are sorry Sarfaraz' placard. The images were posted by Cricket World Cup on their official Twitter handle. Take a look.

Even skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was seen signing autographs for the fans. 

Sarfaraz was also seen sharing a hug with former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis.

The 1992 winners will now have to win all their remaining matches and also maintain a good net run rate in order to finish in the top four and consolidate a semifinal berth.

Pakistan will now face a strong New Zealand outfit who are currently undefeated in the tournament at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
