The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash between the defending champions Australia and former champions West Indies was completely overshadowed by umpiring blunders. The umpires had a forgettable day on the field especially in the second innings where West Indies were chasing 289 for victory and eventually fell short by 15 runs. There were too many errors while Chris Gayle was at the crease as the big power hitter had to take a couple of reviews for leg before wicket where the hawk eye suggested that the ball was clearly going down the leg side. Even skipper Jason Holder's stay at the crease was prolonged due to the availability of DRS. The biggest blunder and arguably the turning point of the match was that of Gayle's leg before decision off Mitchell Starc. The on-field umpire failed to notice that Starc had overstepped the line and it was a big no-ball. The delivery on which Gayle got out could have been a free hit had it been spotted.

Nonetheless, the 'Voice of Indian Cricket' Harsha Bhogle had a different take on it. He appreciated Australia's win and also said that the umpires had an off day. The veteran commentator took to Twitter and wrote 'Yes, the umpires had an off day but that wasn't the reason the West Indies lost. At important moments, Australia were the better side. Starc was magnificent as were the lower order batsmen who took them to 288. My man of the match was Coulter-Nile too.'

In another tweet, Bhogle wrote 'On a train to London and the entire coach is talking about how the West Indies didn't win!'

Here's what the netizens had to say to the star commentator.
