As seen in derby in football, the places closest to each other are generally the fiercest rivals. Two parts of the same soil, India and Pakistan, apart from fighting wars, have displayed intense rivalry on the cricket field too since partition. However, in an unusual situation, Pakistan fans are hoping for an Indian victory in the World Cup encounter against England on Sunday so that their team still has a chance to qualify for the quadrennial event’s semi-finals. Several celebrities from the cricket fraternity expressed their surprise over the turn of events. From the entertainment industry, Vivek Oberoi and Adnan Sami were among those who reacted. While the actor termed it as a ‘miracle’, the singer-musician exulted over the exchange of peace, love and brotherhood.
