Shami, who had taken a match-winning hat-trick against the Afghans, made good use of the new ball as he first scalped Gayle who was caught by Kedar Jadhav at mid-on. He then got rid of Shai Hope with a dream delivery.
It happened in the seventh over of the West Indian innings. On the final delivery, Shami bowled a good length delivery on the off stump which came back in. Hope attempted to play a drive but the ball went between his bat and pads and ended up disturbing the timber. The Indian players and the fans celebrated while the Caribbeans suffered a huge blow early on.
