World Cup 2019 | 'What an innings!' Netizens in awe of Shikhar Dhawan after his brilliant century against Australia

Shikhar Dhawan proved why he is India's most dependable batsman in ICC tournaments after he scored a fantastic ton against the reigning World Champions Australia during their  ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at the Oval on Sunday.

Opening the innings with Rohit Sharma, both openers started on a cautious note as the opening duo played the opening spell nicely. The two accelerated after the Powerplay overs after which there was no looking back as the star openers hit the Aussie bowlers to all parts of the ground. 

Shikhar and Rohit registered a century opening stand. The two added 127 runs before Rohit was dismissed. Gabbar then went on to add 93 runs for the second wicket along with skipper Virat Kohli. Gabbar notched up his third World Cup ton and the 17th in One -Day Internationals. He was dismissed for a 109-ball 117.

The netizens came forward to appreciate Gabbar's electrifying knock.
