An on-field collision between India's chinaman Kuldeep Yadav and England's opener Jonny Bairstow during the India-England clash on 30 June gave ammunition to meme-makers on the Internet, as Twitterati exploded with their own takes on the collision.
Bairstow collided with Yadav as he was taking a single during England's batting, leaving the two to be pictured in an awkward position. BCCI took to Twitter to share a picture of the two and asked netizens to caption the picture. Here's what the netizens came up with:
One user took to point out that the duo was playing Kabbadi and not cricket.
Another user tweeted a famous scene from the movie Baahubali with the duo featuring in it.
Kuldeep Yadav had a bad day with the ball as he was hammered away for 72 runs in 10 overs at an expensive economy rate of 7.20. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav gave away 160 runs in their combined spell of 20 overs.
Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, had a good day with the bat as he scored a brilliant knock of 111 off 109 balls, including ten boundaries and 6 sixes.
After a 31-run loss to England, India will look to bounce back in their penultimate game against Bangladesh on 2 July at Edgbaston, Birmingham, as they are just one point shy of qualifying for the semi-finals. England will face New Zealand on 3 July at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street in their last match of the group stage.
