Team India's run at the World Cup ended after their 18-run loss against New Zealand in the semi-final at Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday. At the same time, this was also the Men In Blue's second consecutive semi-final loss in the quadrennial event while the Black Caps on the other side qualified for their second straight World Cup final. 

Following India's loss to New Zealand in the semi-finals of the World Cup at Old Trafford, Manchester on July 10, Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar took to Twitter and expressed that he is gutted after India’s exit.

Manjrekar has been in the limelight this World Cup as fans have been constantly after him for being too critical to the Indian players. He later stirred more reactions after he called Ravindra Jadeja a ‘bits and pieces’ player following which the all-rounder lashed out at the former batsman.

After Jadeja's knock in the semifinal, Sanjay Manjrekar finally made peace with Ravindra Jadeja on social media. He took to Twitter and posted a short message for the all-rounder.

He didn't stop here, during the post-match show, Manjrekar was asked if he was impressed with the left-handed all-rounder's abilities that had been put to display in the last two games, to which the former Indian batsman said, "By bits 'n' pieces of sheer brilliance, he's ripped me apart on all fronts."

New Zealand after confirming their berth in the finals of the ongoing World Cup fill now travel to play the finals at Lord's, London.
