People thought ‘Kul-Cha’ were irreplaceable, but the spin twin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have both been dropped in favour of Ravindra Jadeja. The all-rounder, apart from his fine show with the ball and on the field, made matters more interesting due to his ongoing exchange of words with Sanjay Manjrerkar for the commentator’s ‘bits and pieces’ comment about him. While the netizens had a field day at the expense of the latter after the 30-year-old picked up a wicket against Sri Lanka, even celebrities are now joining in the fun, the latest being Siddharth. The ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor quipped that Jadeja had knocked off the ‘bits and pieces’ of the stumps after his wicket against New Zealand in the semifinal on Tuesday.

Jadeja justified his selection in the squad by finishing with figures of 1/40 in his 10 overs against Sri Lanka on Saturday. The cricketer carried on from his fine show, by putting the brakes on the New Zealand scoring and later dismissing Henry Nicholls, just when the opener and his captain Kane Williamson were threatening to take the game away from India.

The left-arm spinner’s delivery came back marginally to beat the Kiwi batsman and shatter the timber.

Once again, netizens didn’t spare Manjrekar and made numerous memes of his reaction to the dismissal.

Siddharth also tweeted, “Wow! He knocked the bits and pieces off the stumps. Important wicket! #Jadeja #NZvIND.”

Meanwhile, Jadeja once again finished with impressive figures of 1/34 in his 10 overs, again silencing his critics like he had slammed Manjrekar by saying he had played twice the number of games as him and that he had heard enough of his 'verbal diarrhea.'

New Zealand were at 152/3 in 39.1 overs at the time of publishing this story.
