'Yellow is divine', says CSK on turning MS Dhoni's action figure into a makeshift idol

MS Dhoni played a patient knock of a 35-ball 32 which included two fours and a six to take CSK past the finish line.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings edged past Delhi Capitals by six wickets to register their second consecutive win in the ongoing edition of IPL at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Tuesday. Apart from registering two wins on the trot, there was another good occasion for the 'Yellow Army' to rejoice. This was CSK's 150th IPL match and the three-time champions took to Twitter and a posted a picture of the same in order to celebrate their win.

The celebration did not stop there as the Chennai franchise had something special in store. They showed special respect to their captain MS Dhoni in a devotional way. They offered prayers using Dhoni's action figure as a makeshift idol to worship their 'Thalaiva' for having led them from the front. This eye-catching picture was also posted on Twitter.

Chasing 148, Chennai started attacking right from the word 'Go' and did not allow the momentum to slip despite losing opener Ambati Rayadu early. Shane Watson kept the 'Yellow Army' in the hunt with a solid 26-ball 44 at a strike rate of 169.23 which included four fours and three sixes. He stitched in a 52 run stand with Suresh Raina who played a cameo of a 16 ball-30 at a strike rate of 187.50 including four fours and a six.

Earlier Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer had won the toss and elected to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan played a good knock of a 47-ball 51 while none of the other batsmen could offer much resistance as the Capitals were restricted to 147/6 in their 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowlers for Chennai as he picked up three wickets for 33 runs in his four overs.
