Tributes poured in on the Indian team on Monday following the washout of Day Five of the fourth Test between Australia and India in Sydney, which meant that the Men in Blue triumphed over Australia in Australia for the first time ever. In a performance full of determination, Virat Kohli and his men beat the hosts 2-1 in the four-match series to become the first and only Asian team to win a Test series Down Under.
Right from the diehard fans to cricket critics to prominent personalities, all of them congratulated Team India for their feat. Even those in the political arena, including PM Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind also joined the chorus. Late on Monday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi also took the opportunity to hail Kohli and his team's efforts. He took to Twitter to pay his tributes to the Indian team.

Moments after the series win was confirmed and history was made, President Ram Nath Kovind heaped praise on the Men in Blue for their historic feat.
"Congratulations to @imVkohli and his team for reaching one of Indian cricket’s final frontiers and winning a test series in Australia for the first time. Gritty batting, marvellous fast bowling and a fine team effort has done us proud. Let’s make a habit of it!" the Twitter post of President of India read.
PM Modi termed India's feat as a 'historic cricketing accomplishment' and congratulated Kohli and his men for the series win.
"A historic cricketing accomplishment in Australia! Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team for the hard-fought and richly deserved series victory. The series witnessed some memorable performances and solid teamwork. Best wishes for the various games ahead," his message for Virat Kohli and his men read.
