You'll have a hard time guessing where Sachin Tendulkar watched the IPL Final! Here's where it was

One would think that if you have a stand in a stadium in your home city named after yourself and if the biggest Cricket final of the season was scheduled to be held in that very stadium, the stand named after you is where you'd watch the match. That may be true of someone else, but it's not true, as it turns out, of Sachin Tendulkar!

The master blaster, who is a big fan of the IPL, the Mumbai Indians' 'Icon' and is a frequent attendee at the Wankhede Stadium where there is a Sachin Tendulkar stand, wasn't on hand to watch Sunday's final where the Chennai Super Kings won their third IPL trophy by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

So where was Sachin then? He had been on hand during the IPL opener, but what about the big final itself? Well, the answer has been posted in Instagram.

Sachin Tendulkar was watching the IPL at the residence of another great icon of Mumbai and a national treasure, Lata Mangeshkar. He took to the photo-sharing website and posted the following:

In the photo, Sachin and Lata Mangeshkar can be seen seated on a sofa along with Anjali Tendulkar who appears to have also joined in for the photo.

Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar have been close for years, and have often spoken of each other being like a son or like a mother. That Sachin chose to not watch the IPL final at a stand named after him in a stadium in which he won the World Cup is a testament to this.
