A small group of Arsenal fans protested outside the Emirates Stadium on Monday after the club's decision to join the breakaway European Super League.

Supporters displayed banners and chanted against American billionaire Stan Kroenke, demanding he relinquish ownership of the club.

The north London club currently sit ninth in the English Premier League, which would not see them qualify for European competition next season but have been named as one of twelve 'Founder Clubs' of the European Super League, guaranteeing them regular fixtures against clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus if the project goes ahead.
