Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September. The 'Gabon' forward has scored in every fixture for the Gunners in September, including their UEFA Europe League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt. Aubameyang's haul of five goals in four league games in September has propelled Unai Emery's side to third in the Premier League table. Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez and Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold were also in contention for the award. Aubamayang, however, secured the award after an impressive display throughout the Gunners' fixtures last month.

Aubameyang has been named Player of the Month

The former Borussia Dortmund forward scored in games against Tottenham, Watford, Aston Villa and Manchester United. Aubamyeang went on to score a brace against Premier League strugglers, Watford. The Gabonese forward has now scored seven goals in eight Premier League games so far. His haul of seven means that Arsenal striker is now just one goal behind Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Man City's Sergio Aguero in the golden boot race. The pacy Gabon international turned 30 earlier this year, but the Arsenal striker shows no signs of slowing down, despite the tenacity of the Premier League.

The absence of former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette through injury has meant that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been leading the line for Unai Emery's side in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has picked up the Premier League Manager of the Month, his second consecutive Manager of the Month award. The German boss guided Liverpool to eight straight wins in the Premier League, with two of the eight victories coming in a 3-1 win against Aubameyang's Arsenal and a nervy 2-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal welcome back fullback duo

Lacazette is slated to return to Unai Emery's side in time for the Sheffield United fixture next week. The French striker's return could see Aubameyang shunted back on to the wings, but the Arsenal duo has flourished while playing together. Unai Emery will also be able to call upon the services of fullbacks Héctor Bellerín and new signing Kieren Tierney, as they gear up to face the Blades next week at Bramall Lane.
