Ballon d'Or women's award nominees: Lucy Bronze, Ellen White and more
The Ballon d'Or is an annual award presented by France Footballer in recognition of the best footballer. Here is the list of women's Ballon d'Or nominations.

The Ballon d'Or 2019 will mark the 64th annual ceremony of the award. A total of 70 nominations for the 2019 Men’s and Women’s Ballon d'Or have been announced (30 + 20). Ten nominations for the Kopa Trophy and 10 nominations for the recently -created Yachine Trophy were also announced. The men's nominations included names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Virgil Van Dijk. As Neymar was battling with injuries for the most part in the last season, he misses out on his nomination. Let us take a look at the 20 women's Ballon d'Or nominations.

Lucy Bronze (Lyon), Ellen White (Manchester City), Sam Kerr (Chicago Red Stars), Nilla Fischer (Linköpings), Amandine Henry (Lyon), Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride), Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal), Dzenifer Marozsan (Lyon), Pernille Harder (VfL Wolfsburg), Sarah Bouhaddi (Lyon), Marta (Orlando Pride), Ada Hegerberg (Lyon), Kosovare Asllani (CD Tacon), Sofia Jakobsson (CD Tacon), Tobin Heath (Portland Thorns), Megan Rapinoe (Reign FC), Lieke Martens (Barcelona), Sari van Veenendaal (Atletico Madrid), Wendie Renard (Lyon) and Rose Lavelle (Washington Spirit).

Megan Rapinoe, who won the FIFA FIFPro Women’s Best Player Award in September, is nominated along with USA international Alex Morgan and England’s Lucy Bronze. Lucy Bronze was named the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year (2018-19). Rapinoe and Morgan both scored six goals during the Women's World Cup this year. Ada Hegerberg, who won the inaugural award last year, is also nominated. Ellen White, who was also nominated along with Bronze, was crucial for the Lionesses to have reached the World Cup semi-finals in July. The winner for the women's Ballon d'Or will be announced on December 4, in Paris.
