Bayern Munich's 100 per cent record in the Frauen Bundesliga came to an end in dramatic fashion in the Bavarian capital on Saturday after Hoffenheim battled back to beat Jens Scheuer's side 3-2.

Bayern got off to the perfect start when Linda Dallmann claimed the opening goal barely a minute into the game - however Hoffenheim defender Luana Buhler appared to get the final touch.

Lea Schuller then doubled Bayern's advantage 13 minutes in.

However, Hoffenheim came out for the second half a different team and with half an hour to go, three goals in ten minutes turned the game on its head.

First, in the 63rd minute, Tabea Wassmuth cut the deficit and Katharina Naschenweng equalised five minutes later.

Then the league's top scorer, Austrian striker Nicole Billa, put Hoffenheim ahead on 73 minutes and Bayern coudn't find a response.

After 17 straight victories, Bayern dropped points for the first time and conceded as many goals in one game as they had all season, but they still lead the standings by five points over Wolfsburg, who now have a game in hand.

Hoffenheim - who gained revenge for their recent defeat by Bayern in the domestic cup competition - improved to 37 points from 18 games and tightened their grip on third place and the final Champions League qualification spot.
