Bayern have currently just one player sidelined with an injury as youngster Jann-Fiete Arp suffered a broken wrist in September. David Alaba and Leon Goretzka are back in training, but a Bundesliga start on Saturday would come too soon for the duo. Augsburg meanwhile would be without Andre Hahn, Carlos Gruezo, and Felix Gotze for their upcoming tie against the Bavarians.

Augsburg are winless against Bayern in their last eight league games but managed to scrape away with a point in Munich back in September 2018. However, this season the tie seems completely different as Augsburg have made a poor start, sitting at 14th with just 5 points on the board, one more than 17th-placed Union Berlin. Bayern, meanwhile have an in-form Robert Lewandowski rearing to score again, having scored 11 times already in just seven games.

Bundesliga Augsburg vs Bayern Munich: Interesting Facts

Augsburg have a higher loss percentage against Bayern (81 per cent) than they do against any other side in the league. Augsburg have won just once in their last 12 competitive fixtures, their last win coming against Frankfurt (2-1) at home.

Bayern have kept just three clean sheets in 11 competitive games so far in the season, twice at home and once away.

Rebert Lewandowski has scored in each of his first seven games this season. He will be hoping to be only the second to score in their first eight league games after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a goal against Augsburg.
