The game is tied at one apiece at Stamford Bridge and the referee awards a free-kick to Manchester United. Marcus Rashford, who has been relatively out of touch this season, steps up for United. You don't think he can score from there but that's exactly where you are wrong. The 21-year-old sends the ball flying into the top-left corner of the net with probably the best strike of the game.

Carabao Cup: Chelsea vs Manchester United match report

Manchester United manager named a very strong line-up for the clash against Chelsea while his compatriot Frank Lampard handed starts to a few youngsters as he normally does. The home side, however, got the tactics wrong as they struggled to break down United's defence in the entire first half. United lead when Rashford scored his first of the match from the spot in the 25th minute after Daniel James was clumsily brought down by Marcus Alonso.

The second half showed much more intent from Chelsea as they were chasing an equaliser. Their sustained pressure was rightly rewarded when Harry Maguire got it wrong and Michy Batshuayi pounced to make a terrific solo run before firing the ball into the back of the net. But, the game was not even close to being over as Rashford scored the aforementioned beauty to put the visitors back ahead. This proved to be a final blow to Chelsea and they crashed out of the tournament. As for United, they are into the quarterfinals of the tournament along with Liverpool and Manchester City.
