Arguably one of England's greatest players to have graced the game, David Beckham is still considered an inspiration for many. The former England International who decided to call time on his illustrious career back in 2013, has been often seen spending some quality time with his children lately.

There is no doubt that David Beckham is a family man, and a great testament to this fact is few of the many tattoos that he has inked on his body includes the names of his family members -- Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper and Victoria.

However, recently, the six-time Premier League champion with Manchester United received major flak after he posted an adorable picture with his seven-year-old daughter, where Beckham could be seen kissing her on her lips.

David Beckham's post with the caption read: Christmas is coming 🎅🏼 Let’s go skate ♥️. Though, some fans on the internet didn't seem pleased with Beckham's gesture. One fan said: "she's your daughter. .why are you kissing on her lips..?..that's ur wife kiss..."

Few others felt that Beckham had taken it a little too far while expressing his love for his daughter: "I feel like a kiss on the cheek is better than that n the lips. The lips is just weird."

In the wake of all this drama, Beckham's fans and family backed the former Real Madrid star with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady feeling it was the sweetest he'd seen, "Dad and daughter. So Sweet!"

While another one of his fans said, "I'm 35.. I still kiss my dad on the lips...why do people always turn something innocent into something sinister. Sad people imo."
