English Premier League (EPL) 2019-20 has just finished its 12th-week but the competition has already seen some unique twists and turns in comparison to the previous season. Defending champions Manchester City are on the fourth spot in the points table with three losses already to their name. Leicester City, who failed to maintain their standards since the 2015-16 title glory, have yet again made a surprise start to the season. The Jamie Vardy-led side are second on the table with 26 points in 12 games. Meanwhile, Liverpool are yet to be beaten in the English league with 34 points in 12 games.

Premier League: Golden Glove contenders for now

Sheffield United are one of the biggest surprise packages of the season. The newly-promoted side have grabbed the fifth spot on the EPL 2019-20 table. It puts them above giants like Arsenal (6th), Manchester United (7th) and Tottenham (14th). Adding to their positive start, goalkeeper Dean Henderson is one of the top contenders for the Golden Glove award this season. Henderson has kept five clean sheets in the Premier League 2019-20 season so far. He is leading the Golden Glove race with Manchester City's Ederson and Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel. Henderson can be the first keeper from a promoted side to win the Golden Glove award.

Brighton & Hove Albion's Mathew Ryan and Burnley's Nick Pope are second in the race with four clean sheets to their name. None of the five leading contenders have ever won the Golden Glove award before. Henderson has pulled-off three clean sheets in his last five games. As for Ederson, the 26-year-old has managed to keep two shutouts in three games. The Manchester City goalkeeper lost to Liverpool's Alisson Becker in the previous season. Meanwhile, Leicester City's Schmeichel has kept three consecutive clean sheets and has easy fixtures lined-up.
