England vs Montenegro, Euro 2020 qualifiers: Harry Kane tops player ratings

Harry Kane scored a first-half hat-trick as England booked their place in the Euro 2020 with a 7-0 victory over Montenegro at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night. England now lead Group A with 18 points and one game remaining, three points ahead of the Czech Republic, who have also qualified for the tournament.

England vs Montenegro: Euro 2020 qualifiers match report

Despite Raheem Sterling's absence, England had no shortage of attacking options which was pretty evident from the scoreline as Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho combined extremely well against Montenegro. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continued his fine form when he scored in the 11th minute to open the floodgates at the Wembley Stadium. And within the next 30 minutes, England were leading by 5-0, thanks to a Kane hat-trick and a well-taken goal by Rashford. Ben Chilwell proved more than a handful for the visitors as he assisted three of the goals scored and created havoc down the left.

The second half was much of England controlling the game and giving valuable minutes to the other players. Mason Mount had a goal disallowed for offside but an own goal from Aleksandar Sofranac made it six before substitute Tammy Abraham grabbed his first England goal, six minutes from the end. The game ended at 7-0 to England.
