Euro 2020 qualifiers: England take on Czech Republic

England will meet Czech Republic on Friday night knowing that a win could seal their spot in Euro 2020 with three matches to spare. Read more for match updates.

England will continue their journey to fix a place in Euro 2020 next summer. England will be travelling to Eden Arena to play the Czech Republic on Friday night. Gareth Southgate’s team is currently enjoying the top spot in group A, as they are six points clear of Czech Republic. England showed no mercy when they met Czech Republic last time. The English side had a 5-0 thumping win over them. A win in the reverse fixture will see the Three Lions confirm their qualification for Euro 2020.

Euro 2020 qualifiers: Czech Republic vs England match preview 

England are travelling without senior players like Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, Eric Dier and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Friday night's clash. Gareth Southgate has shown his trust on the younger side of the squad with the inclusion of players like Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori. Unfortunately, Fabian Delph had to withdraw from the Euro 2020 qualifier due to a hamstring injury he picked up during Everton’s Premier League clash.

Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane have carried their side during Euro 2020 qualifiers with 12 goals between them. England have racked up four wins from four in qualifications. Jaroslav Silhavy's side have also held their nerves in the qualification so far with three wins in five matches and two losses. Their last clash was against Montenegro in which they clinched a comfortable 3-0 victory.
