Extra time goal gives China 3-2 victory over Vietnam in thrilling World Cup qualifier

Wu Lei scored the winner late in second-half stoppage time China beat Vietnam 3-2 in a thrilling Asia Group B World Cup qualifier on Thursday in Sharjah, UAE.

China held 2-0 lead with ten minutes remaining before Vietnam scored twice to level the match at 2-2.

But Wu's late goal gave China its first win to breathe new life in their World Cup campaign while Vietnam are reeling with no points after three matches played.
