FILE: UEFA Champions League final set to take place on this day in Istanbul

The 2020 UEFA Champions League final was set to take place at Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, however, the 28th trophy match has been postponed until August 29.

On Friday, The New York Times reported that the final will no longer be held at its planned site in the Turkish city.

UEFA are currently considering a number of alternative host venues, according to the U.S. newspaper.
