Wednesday night will see two footballing heavyweights Germany and Argentina go head-to-head against each other in an international friendly at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund. The two teams will meet each other for the second time after the big 2014 World Cup final where Die Mannschaft managed to clinch victory over Lionel Messi’s Argentina, credits to Mario Gotze’s extra-time winner.
La Albiceleste emerged victorious against Germany the last time they met each other, few months after the 2014 World Cup final. The two giants have faced each other a total of 22 times, with Argentina clinching 10 games to Germany’s eight and a total of four draws between them. Both the teams are currently on a good run. Joachim Low’s side has just suffered one loss in 2019, against the Netherlands at home. Whereas Argentina have only lost thrice in their 11 games they played this year. Both the teams will look to grab victory in this clash. Germany and Argentina, both will be without their key players. Leroy Sane, Toni Kroos and Julian Draxler are out of Germany’s squad due to injuries. While on the other hand, Argentina have travelled without Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Sergio Aguero.
