Leroy Sane has been in the news lately for the controversy surrounding his sudden departure from the Germany squad. Earlier, the national team through their Twitter account confirmed that the Manchester City attacker had left, explaining the decision was due to 'private reasons' following a conversation with boss Joachim Low.
There were reports doing the rounds that Sane had fallen out with coach Joachim Low, after being axed from Germany's 2018 World Cup squad. His absence proved to be quite vital as the defending champions lacked the spark in attack and eventually prematurely exited from the competition.
However, as it seems the allegations of any rift between Leroy Sane and Joachim Low appear to be false, with several reports suggesting that the 22-year-old cut short his international duty to be with his wife who is expecting their child.
With the drama surrounding the attacker, Leroy Sane took to Twitter to announce the birth of his child. He said: "Incredibly happy to let you know about the birth of my daughter last night. Mother and child are doing fine."
He further wrote: "Special thank you to the @DFB_Team_EN and my coach Jogi Löw for letting me leave to be at my daughter's birth. Of course I'll keep my fingers crossed for the team tomorrow! #inSané".
The 22-year-old winger had featured for seven minutes in Germany's UEFA Nations Cup tie against France, and will now miss Sunday's friendly against Peru. But if reports are to believed, it is understood that he departed the team hotel on Thursday morning with Low's blessing.
It is really important to note that Sane's exit comes just days after his attitude was called into question by teammate Toni Kroos. The Real Madrid midfielder insisted the youngster had to improve his body language in order to perform better. And this could one of the reasons why the attacker is yet to be handed a start for Manchester City this season.
Leroy Sane was awarded the PFA Player of the Year, bagging 10 goals and 15 assists during Manchester City's title-winning season. However, Sane has been dropped by Pep Guardiola, citing that the German winger was not ready for action yet.
