Jose Mourinho has over the years build a reputation of being a very hard taskmaster. While the Portuguese follows the sport with extreme passion, he is also known as a man who won't mince his words.

The Manchester United manager has been under fire recently with results not really going the Red Devils' way. Though, the Special One, as he is fondly called, has not shied away from naming and shaming players, that he believes are letting the club down.

Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez are the players who have previously faced the wrath of the Portuguese manager. And this time around, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard have come at the receiving end of some harsh criticism from the Manchester United boss.

In an interview with Spanish TV channel Univision, Jose Mourinho slammed the four Manchester United players for lacking the same level of maturity and character as their predecessors.

"They are lacking maturity. And let me be clear when I say maturity, I mean maturity on a personal level. We had more men, we were more mature, we were more prepared for life, we were less protected."

"They are spoilt kids now, the kids of today have a different life, an easier environment and I'm talking about the people around the players. These people give them too much affection and too many excuses. People mature much more slowly now."

"Luke Shaw, he’s got big potential but doesn’t know how to behave. Big potential, yes, big potential. We’re talking about Luke Shaw, Martial, Jesse Lingard, Rashford – young, big potential.

“But at the end of the day it results in the word I cannot say [cojones], but you use it a lot here…character, personality, they lack a little."

While this isn't the first time that Jose Mourinho has spoken in public about his players' attitude, with many fans accusing the Portuguese manager of further crushing his player's confidence. With his latest comments most likely to stir a debate around his management style, how long will it be until the Portuguese manager is shown the door at Old Trafford?
