As a result, the Citizens now find themselves chasing the Reds on the Premier League table.

Pep Guardiola has a number of injury concerns this weekend. Aymeric Laporte, David Silva, Leroy Sane and Oleksandr Zinchenko were all ruled out for this fixture. However, first-choice goalkeeper Ederson now joins them on the injury list after the Brazilian shot-stopper suffered an injury during their Champions League game against Atalanta earlier this week. Rodri also remains a major doubt for the fixture, having suffered a hamstring injury during their earlier win over Atalanta in the Champions League.
