Pep Guardiola's, Manchester City, will be traveling to face Premier League leaders, Liverpool, on November 10 in a league match to be played at Anfield that may or may not decide the contenders for the League champions of the 2019-20 season. Having played 11 matches, both the teams will be gunning for the first position wherein dropped points for either of them will be a very big setback. Although it will be a match to watch out for, there are things that cannot be ignored with respect to both the teams.

Pep Guardiola VS Jurgen Klopp

A professional rivalry between Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp means that neither of the managers would settle for anything less than three points. If Klopp's team wins the match, they would be cushioning themselves with a nine-point lead over Manchester City whereas if City emerges victorious, they would be cutting their gap with Liverpool to a mere 3 points after 12 games. However, if Manchester City loses, Leicester City might move to the second position in the table provided they beat Arsenal on November 9.

With the match to play in one day, Pep should vary of Liverpool as Klopp seems to have made a team that is incapable of losing any match in the league and that has been evident in their performance as they have dropped a total of 2 points out a possible 33 this season.

The frontline

While Pep Guardiola will be fielding a probable 6 player frontline with the likes of Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Agüero, Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, Liverpool will be relying on their three usual strikers- Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

However, Liverpool's midfield consisting of  Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho will be crucial in freeing up spaces for the attacking wingbacks and delivering crosses to the front three. City strikers Aguero, Sterling, and Jesus have scored a combined total of 32 goals whereas Liverpool's Salah, Mane and Firmino have scored a combined total of 19 goals and provided assists for another 10 goals that their team has scored.

Davil Silva still a doubt, Liverpool welcomes back Fabinho

Manchester City's midfielder, David Silva, is still a doubt for the Liverpool game after suffering a muscle strain in a game against Southampton. Silva has been a crucial part of City as he is known to have a knack for providing perfect passes in a congested midfield.

Whereas, Liverpool have welcomed back Fabinho after resting him against Aston Villa. The midfielder has grown into one of the most commanding central midfielders for the Reds. He is known to break up play, push for attacks in a lot of games.

The backbone of Liverpool and Manchester City

Liverpool's defense has been far more superior with the likes of Virgil van Dijk at the central defense whereas Allison between the goalposts has helped the Reds give consistent performances. However, City's makeshift defense with players such as John Stones and Fernandinho doesn't exhibit the same confidence that is required with Kyle Walker being the only first-choice defender for Pep Guardiola.
