Mason Greenwood was already making headlines with the United youth team last season before manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave him an opportunity this season. Greenwood made his first start for United back in September in the Europa League against Astana, where he scored to become the club's youngest ever goalscorer in European competitions at the age of 17 years, 353 days.

On Thursday night, he added to his tally when picked up a fortuitous pass, cut inside and scored with a sublime finish. One of the most encouraging aspects of the game was how the 18-year-old looked arguably the best among the front three and looked totally at home on the big stage at Old Trafford playing the entire 90 minutes.

Mason Greenwood's performance leads Manchester United 

Manchester United are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League with two games to spare after a comfortable 3-0 win over Partizan Belgrade on Thursday night. They played some wonderful football at times with goals coming from Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford securing a comfortable win.

Mason Greenwood has already scored twice in the Europa League, with his next target will surely be opening his account in the Premier League.
