Pirlo blames 'mental fatigue' for inconsistent form

Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo said on Saturday that winning the Italian Super Cup against Napoli was a boost of confidence for the Bianconeri (nickname 'Black and Whites'), on the eve of hosting Bologna on Sunday.

Juventus beat Napoli 2-0 on Wednesday to win the trophy, bouncing back from a loss to Inter Milan by the same score last Sunday in Serie A.

The nine-time defending champions are fifth in the league standings - although with a game in hand - ten points behind top-ranked AC Milan.
