Spanish league giants, Real Madrid, on September 25 released the team sheet that features 19 names for the La Liga clash against Osasuna. Zinedine Zidane named his 19 member squad with a few players from the B team as defenders Marcelo and Ferland Mendy (groin strain) and midfielder Luka Modric were set to miss the match due to injuries.
The most notable omission from the squad was that of forward, Gareth Bale, who apparently was not suffering from any kind of injury and the manager has selected 18-year-old forward, Rodrygo Goes, to take the place of the former Tottenham player on the field. The attacking midfielder, Isco, is also a doubt for the upcoming match as he still has not recovered from a troubling hamstring injury.
With the Real Madrid coach having being left with no experienced left-backs due to injury, he has turned towards B team, Castilla's Fran Garcia as the young player has been a regular part of the first-team training sessions during this season and with Mendy out until October, Zidane has included the 20-year-old in the squad.
Garcia is one of the most sought after members from the B team as he has been a part of the Spanish team at every level with the biggest achievement wherein he was an integral part in helping the under-17 team grab a second place at the European tournament in the year 2017.
The 19 member squad includes first choice former Chelsea goalkeeper, Courtois with the defense being handled by players such as Sergio Ramos, Varane, Carvajal, Militao, Nacho, and Odriozola.
The midfield has Valverde, Tony Kroos and James with the frontline consisting of Madrid's latest signing from Chelsea, Eden Hazard, and veteran Karim Benzema with support from Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, and Jovic.
The La Liga clash between the 13-time champions league winners and Osasuna will take place at Madrid's home ground, Santiago Bernabeu.
Currently, Real Madrid sits at the top of the Spanish League after winning 4 of the 6 matches played and drawing 2 matches.
