FIFA announced its FIFPro World XI, which is voted by players, esteemed coaches, and fans around the world. Spanish giants Real Madrid have once asserted their dominance in the footballing sphere, with four of their players making the cut. 

The Los Blancos stars include Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo, who are part of the defensive setup, while Croatian playmaker Luka Modric has been named in midfield. There was furthermore reason for the Croatian to smile on the night after he was awarded the Men's Best Player of the year.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo missing out on another individual award this season has garnered particular attention. However, the Juventus attacker and former Real Madrid player was included in the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Ronaldo is joined in attack by Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi, with both opting to skip the star-studded awards ceremony in London. World Cup winner and French wonder-kid, Kylian Mbappe was also among the 11 players to feature in the team.

Another World Cup winning star included in the line-up was Ngolo Kante. The diminutive Frenchman is joined in the four-man midfield line by Chelsea team-mate and Belgian wizard Eden Hazard. Another Premier League star to be included was Manchester United shot-stopper David de Gea. 

Paris Saint Germain's Dani Alves completes the lineup, but his inclusion has raised many eyebrows because of him been ruled out of the majority of last season due to injury. However, a surprise omission comes in the form of Thibaut Courtios, who eas earlier awarded the FIFA Best Goalkeeper of the year. 

Mohammed Salah, who enjoyed a record-breaking with Liverpool was also among the few to have missed out. However, there was a consolation for the Egyptian as he was awarded the FIFA Puskas Best Goal of the year award for his stunning strike against Everton.

The other individual award winners include Brazil and Orlando Pride forward Marta, who was named for The Best Women's player of the Year for a record sixth time. While Didier Deschamps and Reynald Pedro were awarded the Men's and Women's best coach respectively.
