Antonio Conte unsuccessfully hosted his former club Juventus, the leaders of Serie A on October 7, 2019. Thanks to Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain, Maurizio Sarri's men managed to grab the top spot in Italy. The 236th 'Derby d'Italia' lived up to its expectation as both the sides were evenly matched in the big clash. Inter Milan faced their first defeat in the Serie A 2019-20, while Juventus remains the only unbeaten side in the league.

Former Chelsea managers Sarri and Conte battled for Serie A supremacy on Sunday night. Inter entered the clash with five back-to-back home victories until Juventus broke their streak. Dybala curled the ball into the net within three minutes of the start. But Inter made amends as Lautaro Martinez levelled from the spot to make it 1-1. However, substitute Higuaín scored the late winner and lifted Juventus above Inter Milan.
