Inter Milan host Lazio on Wednesday night at home in matchday five of Serie A 2019-20 season. Antonio Conte has made a perfect start to the season after winning all the matches so far. But the real test for Inter begins now as they have three back-to-back tough fixtures to face. The game will kick-off at 12:30 AM (IST) on Sony Entertainment Network and Sony Liv.
Inter Milan have won five of the last ten matches between the two teams, whereas Lazio have managed to clinch four of them. Both the side won a game each when they met in Serie A last season. Inter bagged a 0-3 win at Stadio Olimpico but lost 0-1 at their home in the return leg in Milan. Inter Milan won their Copa Italia quarter-final game against Lazio last season. Conte's side is currently second in Seria A with four wins in four matches and have a chance to go above Juventus with a win in this match. Lazio are currently fifth in Serie A with seven points.
If Inter Milan win the clash against Lazio, it will be the 23rd time in Serie A history that a team has started the season with five wins from five games. This match will see two former Lazio players return to play against their former club. One is 32-year-old winger Antonio Candreva, who was signed by Lazio in the summer of 2013 but later moved to Inter in 2016. The second is 27-year-old central defender Stefan de Vrij, who played for Lazio for four years until his contract expired.
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, de Vrij, Godin; Biraghi, Sensi, Brozovic, Vecino, Candreva; Politano, Lukaku.
Lazio (3-5-1-1): Strakosha; Bastos, Acerbi, Luiz Felipe; Lulic, Luis Alberto, Leiva, Milinkovic, Lazzari; Correa; Immobile.
