Dominant Arsenal

Arsenal were dominant from the get-go. Their first goal was scored in the 13th minute by frontman Martinelli who headed a pass over the opposition keeper's head and into the net. Three minutes later, Martinelli took a shot into the far corner of the goal and it went in. In the 22nd minute, Joseph Willock scored another goal for the Gunners and they were already 3-0. No further goals were scored until the 57th minute when Dani Ceballos jumped to put a lobbed pass into the net. At 4-0, chances of a Standard Liege's redemption looked weak. The Belgian side only managed to have 37.6 percent of ball possession throughout the match and the Arsenal defence  did a good job at not letting Standard Liege make anything of the few chances they got.
