Vissel Kobe head coach Thorsten Fink he was delighted after his Japanese J.League side had its first group training session in nearly two months on Monday.

The team's practises had been suspended as a countermeasure against the coronavirus, but following the lifting of the state of emergency in Kobe, the squad resumed their training on Monday.

The training was conducted behind closed doors under strict social distancing measures.

Players and the support staff had to get their temperature checked in the parking lot upon arrival.

The team was then divided into four groups and used two practice fields and a staggered schedule in order to avoid all players attend the training at the same time.

The J.League is expected to announce its new schedule on May 29th with the Japanese government set to remove a coronavirus state of emergency from Tokyo and four other remaining prefectures, entirely ending the measure that began nearly eight weeks ago.
