Schalke head coach David Wagner said his side will not "duck out" but instead "face up" to their current troubles when they travel to Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga on Sunday.

Wagner is under pressure with his side having suffered four league defeats from four since the Bundesliga resumed after a two-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic on 16th May.

Schalke have not won in the league since 17th January and their last victory in any competition came with a 3-2 extra-time DFB-Pokal round of 16 win over Hertha Berlin on 4th February.

They have fallen to 10th place and are five points off a UEFA Europa League qualification spot with five matches of the season remaining.

Sunday's opponents Union Berlin are four points above the relegation places in 14th and need a win to boost their survival hopes.
