After enduring a mixed start to the season, Arsenal are finally getting into their groove. Gunners' 3-1 win over Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday was their 10th consecutive victory in all competitions, proving the magic of Unai Emery is finally working at the club.
It hasn't been just the result, but also the style of play which Arsenal fans will be happy to watch. They have been decent at the back, brilliant in midfield and extraordinary in the attack. The days of free-flowing football is back at the Emirates, and fans are watching the slick passing which they witnessed many years back.
On Monday, Emery's Arsenal showed a glimpse of what they can achieve, scoring a sensational team goal which would make Barcelona proud. Starting from their own half, the Gunners quickly passed the ball into the opposition half, and after some clever thinking by Mesut Ozil and equally good response from his teammates, scored their third goal.
Leicester had made the best possible start, taking the lead at the half-hour mark after some great play down the left by Ben Chilwell resulted in an own goal by Hector Bellerin. But Arsenal, who were on a nine-game winning streak coming into this fixture, equalized on the stroke of half-time, with skipper for the fixture Ozil scoring a beautiful goal.
The home team turned on the style in the second half, and in the space of three minutes, scored two stunning goals. Substitute Pierre Emrick Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead, after Ozil's stunning through ball got Bellerin behind Leicester's defence, and the full back played an easy pass in the box for the striker to score. It was then followed by the third goal, which made all the headlines.
After the match, Ozil, who had been under fire from all quarters for his struggles, took to Twitter to laud Arsenal's 'sexy football'.
