Ever since Kylian Mbappe took the world by storm after making his debut in 2015, the French forward has continued to leave football fans awestruck by producing a series of spectacular performances for both club country. The French wonderkid made the switch to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain from AS Monaco last summer, and has never looked back since then. 

The 19 year-old has quite made a name for himself  at an early age by being dubbed as one of the brightest prospects of football, though many may argue that the young forward may have still have long way to go before being talked in the same vein as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. But after what he did yesterday, now serves as great proof as to why it's only a matter of time until he gets there and becomes a global superstar.        

In a magnificent display of individual brilliance, Kylian Mbappe starred in Paris Saint Germain's 5-0 thrashing of Lyon at the Parc de Princess on Sunday. Out of the five goals scored, the teenage sensation netted four times, and also managed the incredible feat within the space of 13 minutes.

Kylian Mbappe has been hot-form since returning from an eventful 2018 World Cup, wherein France were crowned champions and the forward received the Golden Boy award for his brilliant displays. With the PSG forward showing no signs of stopping, he has now added to his this season's tally of eight goals from five appearances.

With Brazlian superstar Neymar Jr. also getting on the score sheet after converting from the penalty spot in the first-half, the victory over Lyon meant that the defending champions extended their unbeaten run to nine consecutive, in the process breaking the 82-year-old record of eight consecutive wins set by Olympique Lillois in 1936. 

The French capital city giants are bidding for their seventh title in six seasons as they sit atop of the Ligue 1 standings eight points clear of second-placed Lille, while Lyon sit at sixth position five points adrift of the second place.
