Problems seem to be surfacing at the home of the 13-time European champions. The huge void left by the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, compounded by their dwindling form which sees them languishing seventh in the La Liga table, and for the first time in more than a decade, the Los Blancos have gone winless in five straight games.
Amid all these tensions, arises a video from the Real Madrid training ground where captain Sergio Ramos can be seen lashing out at one of the youth players, Sergio Reguilon, who had accidentally clipped the Spaniard's nose during a game of handball.
After suffering a 1-0 loss against CSKA Moscow in an early setback to the Spanish club’s title defense in the Champions League, they are now set to take on Czech side Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday.
However, the preparations for the match soon went awry when an overexcited youngster Sergio Reguilon jumped across Sergio Ramos to snatch the ball away from the skipper in a last-ditch attempt. However, he was unsuccessful in doing so, and ended up hurting Ramos, who appeared to look in pain while holding his nose.
Ramos didn't hold back as he fired the ball towards the 21-year old left-back in a flash of anger. But luckily, the young player remained unharmed as the ball flew miles away from him into the stands. Not content with his outburst, Sergio Ramos kicked the ball again towards Sergio Reguilon, while giving him a piece of his mind as the team walked off the training pitch.
Sergio Ramos later took to Twitter to apologize for this actions, saying: "Although it may not seem like it, they are quite common situations, but it is not an excuse, my reaction should not have been that. We always go full, right, Regui? In the end team victory together @ sergio_regui !!"
Sergio Reguilon accepted the apology saying: "Always with my team and with my captain, for victory tomorrow! 💪🏻"
